Episode 11 - Mark Normand

Hello Folks!

Yes, I am as shocked as you are that world famous comedian Mark Normand agreed to come on this podcast to try and Get Jerry Seinfeld on.

Mark was a great guest because he has opened for Jerry on theatre shows and they are friends who text regularly. This episode digs into those texts they send and Mark admits he is nervous publicly talking about his messages with Jerry because he is scared the big man won’t like it!

If you don’t know who Mark is - he is an American comic based in New York. His most recent special 'Out to Lunch'  has over 7 million views on youtube and as a result Netflix couldn’t ignore his talent and popularity so now Mark has a Netflix special coming out later this year.

Mark tours the world doing headline shows and  has done 12 late night TV appearances and has  appeared on the Joe Rogan Podcast on multiple occasions. 

Jerry Seinfeld - who is the star of this podcast but just doesn't know it yet - labelled Mark the best up and coming comic there is.

I talked to Mark about  how the Netflix deal came about, why he initially turned it down and the awkwardness of talking to the company having bagged them out publicly for years.  

We finish with ideas on how to convince Jerry to come on this thing and what he would think if he heard this podcast exists.
